Jay Newman's Bio
I found photography in the late 1990s. It started with my friend Wendy's point-and-shoot. Every time we went hiking, I ended up hogging it. Finally, she said, "Jay, just go out and buy your own camera." So I did. I bought a used Nikon, a sturdy tripod, a bunch of instruction books, and then immersed myself in the world of fine art photography.

That was around the same time I moved to Ashland. I immediately fell in love with this amazing town and have been photographing it ever since. After seven years, I still find something new to shoot every time I venture out.
